Weekend plans!

OK I am excited for the weekend!!!

Tonight we are going to tape the bottom half of the nursery. So saturday morning I can wake up, eat breakfast and do the first coat of green on the bottom! Let it dry, then Nick will help with the second coat - when he gets out of bed! Then I hope to finish the closet - at least install more shelves so I can move as much over as possible (need shelving for pants, sweaters, etc). Also hoping to paint the circles on the bottom of the nursery on Sunday. Also want to give the dogs a bath this weekend. And clean our bedroom - wipe down the walls and the windows and wash the curtains and the quilt.

Yeah sounds like a busy weekend... as are all my weekends since I want to get things done early! Now what will I actually get done?

Dentist

So I have a dentist appointment next next Monday - the 24 - so in 10 days! Time to start my daily flossing so I don't get lectured too much. I don't know why but I hate flossing. So awkward. But I know I should do it more often, just never remember to unless I keep the floss out and in my face.

I think everyone does this - not really keep up with dental hygiene until a month or a few weeks away from their dentist appointment.... Think the dentists know this?

Ugh I hate going to the dentist. I do love my dentist - one of the best ones I have ever had. But I just don't like someone having their hands in my mouth...and all the tools. I am told I have a small mouth, so maybe that is why I hate it so much.... And being pregnant, I just don't want to go - but I know it is best and a good thing to go while pregnant...Yes I am already dreading going. But better to go every 6 months than put it off for 3ish years and get 6 fillings (ugh that was torture - yep that happened 2ish years ago)...

How Far Along: 28 weeks

How Big is Baby: 15.25 - 15.75 inches. 2.25 - 2.5 lbs

What is Baby up to: Baby's lungs are mature enough that, if born right now, she has a pretty good chance of surviving (with help from medical technology). Her skin is still pretty wrinkly (one byproduct of living in amniotic fluid) but will smoothen as fat continues to deposit.

Total Weight Gain: +7ish

Best Moment this Week: Baby movement! Also both Nick and I enjoyed registering!

Movement: Afternoon and evening. Also in the middle of the night. Also starting to paint the nursery! And registering!

Belly Button: Inny.

What I Miss: Bending over easily - sleeping through the night - not having to pee every time I stand up

What I am Looking Forward To: Finishing the master closet and finishing painting the nursery!

Dog Park

So last saturday I took Penny and Luna to the dog park! They had a lot of fun and just wanted to share some pictures!

How Far Along: 27 weeks

How Big is Baby: 9.25 - 9.5 inches. 2 - 2.25 lbs

What is Baby up to: Baby's lungs are going through some major developments these days, which (combined with the opening of previously plugged nostrils) means he's now able to practice inhaling and exhaling. The lack of air in your womb means every "breath" is filled with amniotic fluid, but hey -- it's progress.

Total Weight Gain: +6ish

Best Moment this Week: Starting the 3rd trimester!!!! Also passing the glucoa test!!!!

Movement: When I am waking up in the morning while in bed. Afternoon and evening

Belly Button: Inny.

What I Miss: Bending over easily

What I am Looking Forward To: Finishing the master closet and starting to paint the nursery! Registering!

Gender: Lately I have been thinking girl. But last night had a dream with one as a boy and another dream of a girl. So no idea...

Penny...Penny....Penny

After Agility tonight, I stopped at taco bell to pick up some dinner since it was already 8:30. Went inside and ordered and they were quick. Went outside and she was in the front seat..digging. She found the leftover lunch meat I brought to Agility for her... Very typical of her. Nick's response..."She just followed her nose!". Yeah that is penny..all about the food!

Nursery Ideas

We bought the paint for the nursery yesterday! So excited to start painting this weekend!!!! Nick and I are very excited and happy about the paint we chose and how well it all goes together.

Here is what I am thinking about doing. Not sure if we will do a chair rail or not (really want to), but that depends on time. If not we will just have a nice line around where it should be. We are doing a light yellow top with light greens below with all diferent types of circles.
For paint colors, we are using olympic no voc premium paint.

Top of the wall - A15-2 Shiny Silk

Bottom of the wall base - A68-6 Lemon Mint

Circles - A68-4 - Green Grapes
For the green grapes circles, we are most likely going to add some gold sparkles to the paint to make the circles stand out more

Nick may do a Dr. Seuss mural on the wall, but not completely sure we will have time. If we don't, we are going to get some prints and frame them. We would not get all of them..maybe 3 or 4 scattered about the room.

I also want to put above the chair rail on one wall the alphabet. Very whimisical and random. Nick's dad is going to help make the letters with his wood carver machine. Not very big letters - maybe 6-8 inch. Here are some of my inspiration ideas
